Music Facilities Administrator & Technician

We are seeking a Music Facilities Administrator & Technician to provide administrative assistance and technical support to the Music School Manager on day‑to‑day activities in the Music School.

This role will assist in coordinating the use of music facilities, room booking systems, use and maintenance of instruments and equipment, and upkeeping administrative systems and databases. Whilst predominantly administrative, the successful candidate must be familiar with music tech and instrument set‑up (e.g. for bands, recordings and equipment maintenance), which will form a key part of the role.

Additionally, the role will provide logistical support for external commercial hires of the concert hall and music facilities, requiring ad‑hoc event coordination outside normal working hours.

  • Coordinate usage and booking of music facilities.
  • Maintain instruments and equipment and support technical set‑up.
  • Manage administrative systems and databases.
  • Support event coordination for external hires of the concert hall.
  • Supervise ‘out of hours’ concerts and hires during school holidays.
  • Lift and move musical equipment (amps, drum kits, etc.) as part of duties.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:30–18:00 including one hour unpaid for breaks. Term‑time basis with an additional 6 weeks during the school holidays. Flexible approach required for out‑of‑hours and holiday work. Additional hours may be claimed as time off in lieu (TOIL) or overtime pay in advance with the Music School Manager.

Salary: Competitive plus benefits.
