Job Description
The Junior Field Sales Engineer leads business and technical strategies and serves as the primary communicator with the customers he or she will be assigned to. Their objectives are to develop revenue by winning new projects and platforms. This role requires motivating the Renesas organization, including product marketing and business development teams. The Junior Field Sales Engineer will work in a team of sales engineers and FAEs, all driving toward the same goals.
The Job
- Managing the commercial aspects of customer relationships
- Finding and quantifying leads, and understanding the customer organization
- Using technical expertise and sales tools, and partnering with engineering teams to identify new projects and design Renesas parts into customer solutions/products
- Receiving quotation requests and working on business proposals together with technical counterparts
- Working on action plans to design in Renesas solutions
- Developing, forecasting and monitoring an annual plan for revenue growth
Qualifications
Your Profile
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- New college graduate or with 1‑3 years of professional experience in a relevant industry
- Strong curiosity and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor technologies such as high‑performance analog ICs, power, MCUs, and MPUs
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Self‑starter, proactive, analytical, and showing a high degree of proactiveness
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Known by others as an active listener
- Fluent in English
