We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionateJob Coachto support young adults with SEND in developing the skills, confidence, and experience needed to secure sustainable employment.

As part of our Supported Internship team, you will provide personalised support, facilitate workplace learning opportunities, build strong employer partnerships, and help young people achieve their career goals through high-quality employability provision.

Working within a programme with consistently high employment outcomes, you will see the direct impact of your work while being part of a highly regarded, SIQAF-rated Excellent team. *Actual salary for 37 hours per week, over 39 weeks will be commencing at 23,902 with progression to 24,505 per annum.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in relevant training and/or undertake qualifications to effectively support young adults with SEND before and during their Supported Internship.
  • Provide tailored, ongoing support to young adults on site at employer locations across Leeds, based on their individual needs up to 5 days a week.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners – including employers, services, and agencies to coordinate effective support and create meaningful opportunities for young adults.
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom, including preparing them for interviews and accompanying them to interviews for permanent employment.
  • Positively represent the Supported Internship department at events and employer engagement activities.
  • Work closely with the central SEND team, contribute to EHCP review meetings, and ensure progress reviews and checkpoints are completed.
  • Build strong, purposeful relationships with students, employers, and colleagues quickly and meaningfully.
  • Work positively and effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

About You

  • Holds a Level 2 (or above) qualifications in English and Mathematics, with a willingness to continue developing skills.
  • Brings experience supporting young adults with SEND or delivering training across a range of job roles, alongside a strong understanding of how to meet individual needs and support progression.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of equality legislation, the rights of disabled individuals, and the importance of reasonable adjustments in the workplace.
  • Maintains up-to-date subject knowledge to ensure skills remain relevant to the role and the young people supported.
  • Offers practical experience and a strong understanding of the sector, with the ability to apply this effectively in real-world settings.
  • Works well as part of a team whilst also showing initiatives and confidence when working independently.
  • Shows good judgement and a clear awareness of the challenges and support needs of young people.
