Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Holiday: 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days

About the Accounts Apprentice Role

TC Group is a top 20 accountancy firm in the UK looking for a full‑time Accounts Apprentice to join our Spalding office in Summer 2026. This apprenticeship offers an internationally recognised accountancy qualification (AAT) alongside valuable on‑the‑job experience in a dynamic accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the wider accounts team whilst studying towards the AAT qualification
• Prepare accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Support the completion of VAT returns and related compliance work
• Carry out bookkeeping activities and perform bank reconciliations
• Process purchase invoices using Xero and reconcile purchase and sales ledgers
• Ensure client files are well organised and obtain information required for accounts preparation
• Progressively take responsibility for direct client communication, building strong relationships with clients

Candidate Requirements

• Strong GCSE results in Maths and English, grade 4 or above
• A‑levels (C and above) or equivalent
• Keen interest in accountancy and a desire to study for an accountancy qualification
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic Excel skills are advantageous
• Outgoing, enthusiastic and ambitious to develop further
• Ability to work well within a team and manage own workload
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Current right to work in the UK
