What You’ll Do
As a Manager – BCG Vantage on the Topic Activation path within BCG’s Industrial Goods Practice Area, you will collaborate and partner in a growing global team, providing industry expertise and insights. You will work with case and proposal teams to deliver knowledge assets, analysis, and expert advisory. You’ll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.
Additionally, you will drive development of intellectual property and knowledge assets to support the Aerospace & Defense sector, contributing to commercialization efforts for the topic, and working with business leaders to drive proposals and go‑to‑market efforts. You may line‑manage a team of junior colleagues (though this is not expected immediately), taking responsibility for goal setting, ongoing feedback, and career development support.
YOU’RE GOOD AT
- Solving complex client problems through research and analytical approaches in aerospace and defense
- Driving development and maintenance of knowledge assets such as tools, databases, and sector materials for different client contexts
- Communicating with senior stakeholders and engaging audiences effectively
- Managing a portfolio of projects with awareness of business priorities and commercial impact
- Training, coaching, and mentoring junior team members
- Working in a changing and complex environment, comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast‑paced setting
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years consulting experience in relevant aerospace and defense industry (strategy, growth, go‑to‑market, or due diligence with a defense focus) preferred; alternatively, 4+ years defense industry experience required, 6–10+ years strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Fluency in English; fluency in one or more other European languages is a major plus
- Exceptional quantitative and qualitative problem‑solving skills; experience in data analysis and modeling is a major plus
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a global collaborative team; experience working with diverse international teams is a major plus
