A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support a high‑performing disputes practice, working closely with senior lawyers on pitching, campaigns, and client development.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded BD professional who enjoys ownership, visibility, and working in a fast‑paced legal environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage pitch and proposal activity, including complex and multi‑jurisdictional RFPs
  • Develop and deliver business development campaigns aligned to practice and sector priorities
  • Plan and support client events, seminars, and webinars, including ROI tracking
  • Support client and sector targeting, key account activity, and relationship development
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain and improve BD infrastructure, including CRM systems and credentials databases
  • Manage and coordinate legal directory and award submissions
  • Work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to drive profile and revenue growth

About you

  • Proven BD experience within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong pitching expertise with excellent written and commercial skills
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing at partner level
  • Experienced with CRM systems, email marketing tools, and directories processes
