Graduate Hydraulic Modeller – Durham
MMBC, part of the Mott MacDonald group, designs and constructs water and environmental projects across the UK.
What you’ll do
- Support hydraulic modelling studies, sewerage management planning, and network modelling as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis and asset management.
- Search for and organise data and information.
- Analyse data, visualise and programme using tools such as FME, Power BI and other software.
- Conduct feasibility studies and options development: asset performance assessments/reviews, report preparation and drawings, scheduling work for subcontractors and third‑party survey teams, and liaison during the projects.
- Provide technical capability on wastewater projects as part of a project team.
- Assist the Project Manager in managing and coordinating projects.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings.
- Contribute to technical reports and presentations.
- Support the development of proposals for new projects.
What you’ll need
- Relevant degree‑level qualification (e.g. Geography, Hydrology, Environmental Science).
- Able to collaborate and work effectively within a multidisciplinary and diverse team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An interest in developing a career in urban drainage modelling/asset management to gain a full understanding of new projects and different clients, which will provide fresh experiences and support your development.
