Job Summary
Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger Invoicing (Outpatients) at Spencer Private Hospitals Ltd. This is a fixed‑term, 18‑month role based mainly from home with occasional travel to hospital sites. The closing date is 11 June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue sales invoices for inpatient and outpatient appointments, ensuring correct pricing, contract alignment and accuracy of treatment elements and costs.
- Assist credit control by processing customer receipts, handling related patient queries via telephone and e‑mail, and maintaining accurate patient notes.
- Support the Finance Team Leader, ensuring month‑end timetables are met and assisting with departmental filing.
- Send completed invoices to insurers or customers through required channels (e.g., Healthcode).
- Contribute to process improvement and development of the finance department.
Required Skills & Experience
- Excellent customer service, communication and empathy skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
- Good computer literacy – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with invoicing/billing systems preferred.
- Experience with numbers and customer service; prior credit control or NHS hospital finance experience is desirable.
- Travel between hospital sites (Margate, Ashford, Canterbury) and head office (Betteshanger) to attend training and meetings as required.

Employment Details
- Salary: £26,532.74 to £32,105.21 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Contract: Fixed term – 18 months.
- Working pattern: Full‑time, Home or remote.
- Location: Betteshanger Country Park, Betteshanger, Deal, Kent, CT14 0EN.
