Children’s Residential Care Worker

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

  • Location: The Beeches UK
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (including sleep-ins, weekends, and shifts)
  • Salary: £27,497 per annum + up to £700 additional pay per month for sleep-in shifts
  • Sleep-in Pay: Up to £700 per month (dependent on sleep‑ins worked)
  • Shift Pattern: 1 day on, 2 days off rotation
  • Overtime: Paid at time and a quarter (x1.25) once the minimum 40 hours are worked

You will play a key role in young people’s daily lives, helping them develop independence, resilience, and essential life skills. Experience in childcare or a related setting is preferred, and your knowledge and insight will directly shape the quality of care we provide.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing a warm, safe, and supportive environment for young people
  • Building positive, trusting relationships that help young people thrive
  • Supporting and contributing to individual care plans and daily routinesMaintaining accurate records, logs, and reports
  • Promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive life skills

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience: Working with children and young people in a care, education, or support setting is preferred but not essential
  • Passion: A genuine, person‑centred approach to supporting young people
  • Qualification: Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Care is preferred. If not currently held, enrolment after your probationary period is mandatory — and fully funded by us
  • Driving: Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Approach: Positive, resilient, and a collaborative team player who can work flexibly across shifts
