Machine Operator – Pasteurising Area

Location: Shrewsbury

Working Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 – 18:00
• Starting pay: £13.00 per hour
• (Negotiable depending on experience)

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.

Future shift pattern will move to a 4 on / 4 off rota, including weekends – flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring pasteurising machinery used for heat-treating liquid products
• Loading raw materials into the pasteurising system
• Checking temperatures, timings, and process controls to ensure food safety standards are met
• Carrying out quality checks (e.g. consistency, colour, contamination)
• Accurately recording production data and completing paperwork
• Cleaning and sanitising equipment in line with hygiene standards
• Following strict health & safety and food hygiene (HACCP) procedures
• Reporting any faults, issues, or inconsistencies to supervisors
• Supporting general production tasks when required

Requirements

• Previous experience within a production or food manufacturing environment (essential)
• Valid Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Reliable, with a good work ethic
• Able to commit to 12-hour shifts and future weekend work
• Own transport required due to location
