Sales Assistant – Barnsley Cortonwood

Smyths Toys is one of the world’s largest specialty retailers of children’s toys. We operate online and via our physical retail stores across Europe and the UK, sourcing products from UK, European, and international suppliers.

About the Role

We are seeking Sales Assistants for Smyths Toys Superstores. This is a temporary contract position with pay of £12.90 per hour for employees over 21 and £11.00 per hour for those under 21.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast‑paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Handle delivery and complete price changes
• Operate the tills
• Stay up to date with product knowledge to assist customers

The Ideal Candidate

• Retail experience (desirable but not essential) in Outdoor/Bikes, Nursery, Software & Gaming, or Backdoor/Warehouse
• Flexibility to work seven days a week
