Class 2 HGV Driver
Driver Hire Bedford requires HGV Class 2 Drivers for contracts with concrete suppliers in Bedford.
Our valued Client based in Elstow, Bedford is looking for a Class 2 driver who will act as a cover driver during their busy summer period, covering holidays and sickness. The contract is expected to be a minimum of 6 months of full time starting immediately.
The Role: The role involves delivering mortar to active building sites using a cement mixer truck. There is not much manual labour expected however getting dirty in this line of work is a guarantee especially in bad weather. Full uniform will be provided after a 12 week temporary period.
Shift Pattern: 06:00 – 16:00 Monday to Friday. Overtime should be expected daily averaging 5-10 hours per week.
Pay: £17.00 an hour with holiday pay. O/T paid at £18.70 after 8 hours each day.
There is the prospect of earning a temp-perm contract with the client should the driver excel in his role. Full time contracts offer annual salary of £42,000 with over £50k achievable with overtime
