Job Description:

The Sales Director – Automotive TIC Services is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing strategic customer relationships within the automotive sector. This role leads business development initiatives for testing, inspection, certification, validation, and engineering services supporting OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, EV manufacturers, and emerging mobility technologies.

The Sales Director will develop and execute strategic sales plans across automotive quality, materials testing, environmental simulation, battery testing, EMC, cybersecurity, homologation, and regulatory compliance services. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial leadership with deep understanding of automotive engineering, manufacturing, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional and national sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within automotive OEMs, suppliers, EV manufacturers, and mobility technology companies
  • Build long term strategic relationships with engineering, quality, procurement, and operations leaders
  • Lead the full sales cycle including prospecting, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing
  • Collaborate with laboratory operations and technical teams to develop customized TIC solutions
  • Drive growth across automotive service lines including:
  • Materials testing
  • Environmental and durability testing
  • Battery and EV testing
  • EMC/EMI testing
  • Failure analysis
  • Regulatory compliance and certification
  • Cybersecurity and connected technologies validation
  • Monitor automotive industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive market activity
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting
  • Support strategic account management and customer retention initiatives
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Mentor and support business development managers and account executives as needed
  • Partner with marketing teams to develop campaigns targeting automotive and mobility sectors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of sales or business development experience within Automotive TIC, engineering services, or technical consulting
  • Strong knowledge of automotive testing standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience selling services to automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of EV, battery, ADAS, autonomous systems, or connected technologies preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
  • Ability to develop strategic customer relationships at multiple organizational levels
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Willingness to travel as required
