Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Specialist Cleaning & Pest Control Technician role based in Eastbourne. The technician will carry out specialist cleaning tasks, including deep cleans, sanitation, biohazard cleaning, and industrial or high-level cleaning as required. The role includes inspecting client premises, implementing pest control treatments, monitoring activity, and applying integrated pest management practices in line with company procedures and regulations. Daily responsibilities involve preparing and maintaining equipment and materials, safely handling chemicals, completing service reports, and communicating findings and recommendations to clients and supervisors. The technician will also support general facilities tasks when needed, follow health and safety standards, and contribute to a professional and respectful working environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills and experience in Pest Control, including safe application of treatments and ongoing monitoring.
- Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management and PEST (pest evaluation and surveillance techniques) for long-term prevention and control.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and supervisors, including clear reporting and record-keeping.
- Previous experience in specialist or industrial cleaning, biohazard or sanitation work, or facilities services is an advantage.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, COSHH, and safe chemical handling procedures.
- Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel between client sites as required.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at height.
