Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking Pharmacy Department, supporting the Dispensary and Purchasing & Distribution teams on a rotational basis.
In this varied and hands‑on role, you will work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to help deliver a high‑quality, safe and efficient pharmacy service for patients and healthcare professionals. Your day‑to‑day work will include supporting the dispensing of medicines, managing and checking stock levels, assisting with over‑labelling and pre‑packing of medications, and helping ensure wards have the medicines they need.
You will also play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised working environment, following Standard Operating Procedures, Health & Safety guidance and Trust waste management policies at all times. Alongside this, you will support senior pharmacy staff in ensuring the smooth running of dispensary, purchasing and distribution services.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail‑focused and keen to develop their skills within a busy healthcare setting, while making a real contribution to patient care.
