Experienced Bench Hand Joiner

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join our dedicated team on a full‑time basis. This on‑site role is based in Kingston Upon Hull and involves crafting bespoke joinery products using a variety of tools and techniques. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, assembling and finishing high‑quality furniture components, operating woodworking machinery, and maintaining strict attention to detail to meet client specifications. The Bench Hand Joiner will also ensure safety and quality standards are consistently upheld.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Assemble, sand, and finish bespoke joinery.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Collaborate efficiently within a team environment and meet deadlines.

Hours & Salary

Hours: Based on a 40‑hour working week. Flexible overtime will be required to meet industry demands.

Salary: Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience).

Qualifications

• Strong skills in traditional joinery techniques, hand‑tool usage, and woodworking machinery.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in assembling, sanding, and finishing bespoke joinery.
• Solid surface experience would be desirable but not essential.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality craftsmanship.
• Good punctuality and attendance is an essential part of our operation.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• 10 years experience in a joinery or woodworking environment.
