Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and organised Receptionist / Administrator to join a successful and growing business. Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, this role combines front‑of‑house responsibilities with a varied range of administrative duties supporting multiple departments across the business.

This position would suit someone who enjoys a busy and varied role, has excellent communication skills, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service whilst ensuring the smooth running of day‑to‑day office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Front of House

  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
  • Meet and greet visitors, clients, and suppliers
  • Manage deliveries and incoming post
  • Ensure reception and communal areas remain professional and presentable

Administration

  • Arrange travel and accommodation for employees
  • Set up new clients on the CRM system and maintain accurate records
  • Carry out credit checks and associated administration
  • Send appraisal reminders to managers and directors
  • Support the Finance team with administrative tasks and inbox management
  • Order stationery, workwear, and office supplies
  • Manage post, franking machine activities, and confidential waste disposal
  • Provide general administrative support across the business
  • Assist with ad‑hoc projects and administration as required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience within a Receptionist, Administrator, Customer Service, or Front of House role
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask and manage a varied workload
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Positive, proactive, and flexible attitude

Benefits

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 5:30pm with a 5pm finish on Fridays.
  • £26,000‑£28,000 depending on experience
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Birthday off (or nearest working day)
