An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and organised Receptionist / Administrator to join a successful and growing business. Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, this role combines front‑of‑house responsibilities with a varied range of administrative duties supporting multiple departments across the business.
This position would suit someone who enjoys a busy and varied role, has excellent communication skills, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service whilst ensuring the smooth running of day‑to‑day office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Front of House
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
- Meet and greet visitors, clients, and suppliers
- Manage deliveries and incoming post
- Ensure reception and communal areas remain professional and presentable
Administration
- Arrange travel and accommodation for employees
- Set up new clients on the CRM system and maintain accurate records
- Carry out credit checks and associated administration
- Send appraisal reminders to managers and directors
- Support the Finance team with administrative tasks and inbox management
- Order stationery, workwear, and office supplies
- Manage post, franking machine activities, and confidential waste disposal
- Provide general administrative support across the business
- Assist with ad‑hoc projects and administration as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience within a Receptionist, Administrator, Customer Service, or Front of House role
- Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to multitask and manage a varied workload
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
Benefits
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 5:30pm with a 5pm finish on Fridays.
- £26,000‑£28,000 depending on experience
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
