Roofer -Domestic – Solar Panel Installer

Our Client: PETTIT Contracting’s renewable energy division – ‘ElectricAvenues’ is a growing provider of renewable energy solutions, committed to delivering high‑quality solar and wind installations on domestic, commercial and industrial projects. We are looking for skilled, self‑employed Cladders/Roofersto join our team in London and help us in our mission to promote sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and maintain solar panels on residential property roofs, and ground‑mounted solar panel systems on agricultural land in the county.
• Assess roof conditions to ensure mounting systems are suitable for solar panel installation on various types of domestic roof design.
• Measure and grind existing roof tiles to allow mounting brackets to be fitted to roof structures.
• Secure solar panels to roofs using appropriate mounting systems and learn the different requirements of each mounting system, such as the Renusol range.
• Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with electricians and other team members to ensure seamless installation.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of installed solar panels as part of maintenance projects.
• Provide excellent customer service when representing the company to clients, customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Working at height safety certificate
• Abrasive wheels safety certificate
• Proven experience as a roofer, preferably with experience in solar panel installation.
• Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety practices.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Valid, clean UK driver’s license and reliable transportation.
