The Industrial Tech segment provides solid‑state lasers, kilowatt‑class fiber lasers, diode lasers, ultrafast lasers, and gas lasers for various end markets.

Job Description Summary

Reliability engineering, reliability evaluation, physics‑of‑failure studies, and formal qualification of optoelectronic chips (III‑V, Si‑Ph). Assessment of semiconductor and optical component ageing characteristics, failure modes & associated risks. Customer interfacing on reliability documentation and work. Collaboration with design, process, product and quality teams for root‑cause investigation and reliability analysis of field returns. Definition and implementation of optical component qualification programs. Problem solving, test engineering, testing and statistical data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Definition and implementation of optical component reliability qualification programs.
  • Assessment of optoelectronic component ageing characteristics, extracting failure‑mode specific degradation models and quantifying risks.
  • Customer interfacing on reliability documentation and work based on physics‑of‑failures.
  • Problem solving, test and characterization engineering, and statistical data analysis.

Key Relationships

  • Assessment of reliability risks and rapid verification of product reliability to internal and external customers.
  • Collaboration with chip design, process engineering, test engineering, product engineering, quality engineering and other downstream internal and external customers.
