Electrical Design Engineer

Role Purpose

Due to continued growth across residential and commercial sectors, our client are seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery and management of a diverse portfolio of building services projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior team members in the delivery and coordination of multiple projects
• Act as a key point of contact, liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and external consultants
• Attend and contribute to design team meetings, with support from an Associate Director
• Take a lead role in the development and delivery of electrical design solutions
• Carry out site inspections and report findings back to the design team
• Undertake detailed design calculations to support engineering decisions
• Ensure project deliverables meet client briefs, technical standards, and deadlines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the wider business
• Provide support to other engineering disciplines when required
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental policies

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience within a UK Building Services (MEP) Consultancy environment
• Degree in Building Services Engineering (or related discipline)
• Proficiency in: Dialux, Relux, or similar lighting design software, Amtech (or equivalent) for cable sizing, CAD/Revit design tools
• Strong understanding of: Electrical building services design, Mechanical, sustainability, and public health coordination principles
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
• Knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognised institution
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
