About the Role

We are looking for a full‑time children’s support worker to join our home‑based team in Nelson, Burnley.

Responsibilities

  • Support young people with emotional regulation, daily routines, and personal development.
  • Keep detailed records and promote safeguarding at all times.
  • Assist with fun activities, personal interests, education access, engagement, and household responsibilities.
  • Commit to working 48‑hour shifts including sleep‑ins (paid) followed by a 4‑day break as part of our 365‑day service.

Estimated Salary

Estimated salary based on an hourly pay rate of £13.45 to £13.75 per day and working an average of 8 sleep nights per month at £60 per sleep night.

What We’re Looking For

Experience within care, education, mental health support and/or youth activities is highly desirable, but transferable skills and the right personality traits are also valued.

Essential Requirements

  • A full driving licence issued in the UK.
  • Full right to work in the UK with no restrictions.
  • Values in line with Esland’s, such as a therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare.
  • A calm, compassionate and resilient approach.
  • The ability to recognise that tough days matter just as much as good days.

Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential).
