We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Project Support Officer to join our Transformation & Resources directorate. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting meaningful projects and helping colleagues deliver change that improves services for our customers and communities. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, helping to keep activity on track, documentation up to date and stakeholders informed. You’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are well-planned, well-coordinated and delivered efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of projects that contribute to WCHG’s strategic goals.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, reports and updates.
- Organising meetings, workshops and events, handling logistics such as agendas, room bookings and follow-up actions.
- Sharing project updates and supporting communication with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Assisting Project Managers with monitoring budgets, tracking progress and completing quality checks.
- Identifying risks or issues and helping the team find solutions.
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting projects or programmes in a professional setting.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities.
- Good communication skills, able to work confidently with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience maintaining documentation, preparing reports and supporting meetings or workshops.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and, ideally, project management tools such as Monday.com.
- Comfortable working with data and supporting analysis.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and remain flexible in a changing environment.
- A positive team player who builds strong relationships and supports colleagues.
- Familiarity with Agile or PRINCE2 methodologies is desirable but not essential.
