Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEND (Primary)

Location: Castle Newnham

Salary: NJC Scale 2A Point 3-4 (£12.85 – £13.05p/hr)

Hours: 31.67 hours per week plus 5 INSET days.

Reports to: SENDCo

Responsibilities:

• Work in classroom settings to identify and develop strategies to support pupils in overcoming barriers to their learning.
• Provide an extra layer of support for pupils, working alongside teaching staff and existing pastoral systems.
• Deliver programmes of support for literacy or numeracy to small groups of pupils, as required.
• Support primary pupils and develop personal skills and resilience appropriate for the role.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in a similar role within the education system is preferred.
• Personal skills and resilience to develop and support pupils in SEND.
