Job overview

The LCHS School Age Immunisation Service is commissioned to deliver all vaccinations to the school aged population across Lincolnshire. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a skilled, motivated individual with relevant experience to support service delivery of these programmes.

This is a part time vacancy based at Beech House in Lincoln.

As a member of the team you will be expected to work flexibly across the county to deliver the immunisation and vaccination programmes under the direction of the Professional Advisor for School Age Immunisations.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Senior Administrators, you will be responsible for providing day to day effective and efficient administration support, with a large part of the duties being data input, contacting schools and ensuring requests are responded to in a timely manner.

Experience of working in a busy environment is essential, alongside the management of records, establishing strong relationships, and delivering effective administrative processes within tight deadlines and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Additionally, due to the increasing size of the Flu programme, you will be trained and competency assessed to deliver the nasal flu vaccine to children under the direct supervision of a registered nurse working within a patient group direction.

This post requires that you have the ability to travel between locations to carry out your work and to attend training and meetings; daily access to transport is therefore essential.

Working for our organisation

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.

At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS’ workforce.

LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.
