Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for a band 7 Advanced Dietetic Practitioner to join our Acute Dietetic Service. The post will be based in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Hours of Work
36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide a dietetic service to patients with complex neurological conditions.
- Lead assessment, treatment, and management of highly complex patients, including those with polytrauma, amputations, trauma, orthopaedic/plastics injuries, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury across the Major Trauma pathway.
- Supervise members of staff, provide clinical leadership, participate in student training, and support the team operationally as required.
- Contribute to research, audit and broader service development.
- Assist in training and support, including annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.
Qualifications
- Experienced dietitian with interest and experience in Neuroscience.
- Committed to working as part of a dedicated team to deliver high quality care.
- Must hold a PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not a current member, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before commencing.
