Growth Director – Sales and Marketing

We’re now at a point where we need to evolve from a successful growth function into a genuinely scalable, sophisticated GTM operation — one that brings together marketing, employer growth, sales performance, commercial strategy and operational excellence into a single, aligned growth engine.
That’s why we’re hiring a Growth Director.
This role will sit at the centre of how Tiro scales over the next few years — shaping strategy, building capability, improving commercial performance and helping us move from strong momentum to truly exceptional growth.
The opportunity
This is a senior commercial leadership role with responsibility for Employer Growth, GTM strategy and marketing performance.
You’ll own how we generate, convert and compound demand — from TOFU brand and pipeline generation right through to enterprise deal conversion, forecasting accuracy and long-term employer value.
You’ll work across the full commercial system:
- GTM strategy and market positioning
- ICP definition and vertical prioritisation
- pipeline generation and conversion
- sales methodology and commercial process
- forecasting and revenue modelling
- marketing effectiveness and attribution
- enterprise sales performance
- cross-functional alignment with Employer Success, Delivery and Operations
You’ll bring clarity, consistency and commercial discipline to how we scale.
Not by creating process for process’ sake — but by building systems, rhythms and ways of working that help talented people perform at a higher level.
This is a role for a builder
We’re looking for someone who enjoys creating shape from momentum.
Someone who can look at a business with strong foundations and see the next layer of opportunity:
- where the growth bottlenecks are
- where conversion can improve
- where positioning can sharpen
- where the sales process needs more rigour
- where marketing can become a more powerful demand engine
- and where operational alignment creates better long-term outcomes
You’ll bring a strong understanding of commercial performance management — using data, insight and forecasting to make good decisions early.
You’ll know how to build healthy pipeline coverage, improve sales quality, tighten qualification standards and create operating rhythms that increase predictability without killing energy or autonomy.
And because many of our deals are complex, consultative and enterprise-level, you’ll also understand the importance of pacing, stakeholder management, strategic influence and long-term relationship building.
Just as importantly, you’ll be comfortable navigating the ambiguity that naturally comes with a scaling environment.

A huge part of this role is bringing teams together around a shared vision of what great looks like.
You’ll lead Marketing and Employer Growth as one connected commercial function — ensuring messaging, campaigns, outreach, sales conversations and solution design all reinforce each other.
You’ll also work incredibly closely with Employer Success and Delivery and Learner Experience.
These relationships are critical at Tiro.
We care deeply about the quality of what we win, how employers experience us and whether what’s promised commercially translates into brilliant delivery operationally.
So this role needs someone who naturally thinks cross-functionally:
- bringing the right people into conversations early
- creating strong feedback loops between teams
- improving handovers and commercial clarity
- stress-testing opportunities properly before they close
- and building a culture where commercial ambition and operational reality work hand-in-hand
The detail matters here. A lot.
We’re looking for someone with exceptionally high standards — someone who brings rigour, ownership and attention-to-detail bordering on obsessive when it comes to pipeline quality, deal structure, forecasting accuracy and employer experience.

About you
You’re likely already operating in a senior commercial, GTM or revenue leadership role within a complex B2B environment.
You’ll be naturally curious about the sectors we serve — industries that power innovation, improve lives and keep the economy moving. Whether it’s advancing scientific discovery, supporting critical infrastructure, strengthening manufacturing capability or helping organisations tackle complex workforce challenges, you’ll enjoy getting under the skin of how businesses operate and what drives their success.
You’ve probably:
- led or scaled a GTM function
- worked closely across sales and marketing
- improved forecasting, pipeline quality and commercial performance
- implemented sales methodologies and operating cadence
- led complex enterprise opportunities
- built high-performing, accountable teams
- and helped businesses move from founder-led or reactive growth into more scalable commercial maturity
Most importantly, you’ll care about building something sustainable, high-quality and meaningful — not just chasing short-term numbers.
