An established Fire & Security specialist is seeking an experienced Minor Works Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across London and the surrounding areas. Working across a variety of commercial environments, you will be responsible for delivering remedial works, system upgrades, small installations, and fault rectification on a range of Fire Detection and Security Systems.

Responsibilities
- Delivering remedial works, system modifications, and small‑scale installation projects
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs across Fire Alarm and Security Systems
- Liaising with customers and internal scheduling teams to coordinate works efficiently
- Completing planned and reactive maintenance tasks when required
- Working alongside subcontractors and site representatives to ensure projects are delivered safely and effectively
- Updating job information and documentation via customer and company systems
- Providing technical support to service engineers on specialist works where required
- Managing daily workloads and responding to customer requirements across your designated area
- Maintaining vehicle stock levels and ensuring equipment is available for planned works
- Attending training courses, toolbox talks, and engineering meetings to maintain technical competency
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within the Fire & Security industry
- Experience carrying out installations, upgrades, remedial works, or commissioning activities
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems
- Knowledge of current industry standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Professional approach with strong customer‑facing skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to pass security screening and background checks where required
