Our client is seeking an experienced BMC Helix Solution Architect to support a major enterprise service management transformation programme within a large-scale retail environment. As a BMC Helix Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining solution architecture, governance standards, and implementation strategies across enterprise BMC Helix platforms. You will lead architecture and delivery activities across ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, Digital Workplace, and automation capabilities while driving service management transformation, process optimisation, and operational improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise BMC Helix solutions aligned with business and operational requirements
- Lead implementation of:
- BMC Helix ITSM
- Discovery
- CMDB
- Digital Workplace
- Automation solutions
- Define architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technical best practices
- Drive workflow automation and service optimisation initiatives
- Support incident, problem, change, asset, and configuration management improvements
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations, integrations, and transformation projects
- Ensure platform availability, resilience, performance, and scalability
- Produce architecture documentation, low-level designs, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and business stakeholders
- Support enterprise digital transformation and continuous service improvement initiatives
- Ensure alignment with CIS Controls v8.1 security standards and governance requirements

- Experience integrating BMC Helix with:
- Monitoring solutions
- Infrastructure platforms
- Third‑party enterprise applications
- Experience with automation, orchestration, and AI‑driven service management capabilities
- Experience leading platform upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives
- Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capability
- Experience producing solution designs, architecture documentation, and operational standards
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- BMC certifications across Helix, Remedy, Discovery, or Digital Workplace
- Experience with cloud environments including:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Scripting and automation experience using:
- Python
- PowerShell
- REST APIs
- Experience integrating with monitoring, DevOps, and security platforms
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models
- Retail and supply chain industry experience
- Reporting, analytics, dashboarding, and AI‑driven operational insights within BMC Helix
