We are seeking a Female support worker to become a part of our amazing team at our Supported Living service in King’s Heath, Birmingham.

This role will be based in our service which has multiple 1:1 flats.

The person you will support is a fairly active woman who communicates using BSL. She is profoundly deaf and lives in the supported living accommodation and enjoys the 1:1 support.

Her hobbies and interests include travelling, architecture, museums, and spending time on her computer.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Provide support to a profoundly deaf woman using BSL; basic BSL proficiency required.
  • Work a flexible basis across 3 days per week, with availability from Monday to Sunday and some bank holidays.
  • Hold a full UK manual driver’s licence.
  • Good communicator and use of BSL at a basic level.
  • Deliver an effective 1:1 support within the supported living accommodation.
