As a Public Sector Sales Executive at Softcat, you will be responsible for building and managing new and existing business across the public sector.
Responsibilities
- Research potential customers to shape and build new business
- Grow new business through cold calling, customer meetings and email marketing
- Work toward quarterly KPI’s and GP targets through market understanding, building relationships and networking
- Provide account management to support customers’ technology strategy, implementation and future requirements
- Collaborate with sales team, cross‑functional teams and external partners to develop a rich customer experience
Qualifications
- Passion for sales and keenness to learn and develop skill set
- Resilient mindset to handle objections daily
- Entrepreneurial flair and desire to build own client base from scratch
- Motivated self‑starter, quick learner and highly organised
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop knowledge for new and emerging technologies
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build solid relationships internally and with potential new clients
Flexible Working
- 3 days in office and 2 days working from home, with requirement to be in each Wednesday for vendor and inter‑office team meetings
- Flexible hours – flexing the times you start and finish during the day
- Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs
