Role Overview
Senior Business Development Manager (London Campus – West Hampstead)
As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a key strategic role in driving revenue growth, building corporate partnerships, expanding executive education opportunities, and strengthening the School’s market presence. You will act as a senior point of contact for external stakeholders, corporate clients, and internal academic teams, identifying new business opportunities and delivering an exceptional partner experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Lead the development and delivery of business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify, develop and secure new corporate partnerships, sponsorships and commercial opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with employers, organisations and industry stakeholders to promote ESCP programmes and services.
- Generate new leads through networking, market research, events and outreach activity.
- Prepare proposals, presentations and commercial agreements tailored to client needs.
- Manage the full sales pipeline from prospecting through to negotiation and contract completion.
Partnership Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a senior relationship manager for strategic corporate partners and key accounts.
- Collaborate with academic departments to develop customised learning solutions, executive education and talent development programmes.
- Ensure excellent service delivery and long‑term client satisfaction.
- Represent the School at networking events, conferences and business forums.
- Develop relationships with alumni, chambers of commerce and professional bodies.
Market Development & Strategy
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and client needs to identify new growth opportunities.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, market positioning and commercial planning.
- Support the launch of new programmes, products and services aligned to market demand.
- Provide regular pipeline forecasts and strategic updates to senior leadership.
Marketing & Recruitment Support
- Work closely with Marketing and Admissions teams on campaigns to attract students and corporate clients.
- Support events, webinars, open days and promotional activity.
- Contribute to content development including brochures, presentations, case studies and digital campaigns.
- Enhance brand visibility across the London market and wider UK business community.
Data, Reporting & Performance Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records, business development activity and sales performance data.
- Produce reports on pipeline activity, conversion rates, revenue generation and partnership outcomes.
- Use data insights to improve business performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure accurate internal reporting and compliance with institutional processes.
Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with academic and professional services teams to deliver business objectives.
- Provide mentoring or guidance to junior colleagues where appropriate.
- Support a culture of innovation, customer focus and continuous improvement.
Other Duties
- Undertake any other responsibilities appropriate to the level of the role, aligned with experience and training.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market developments, competitor activity and sector best practice.
- Ensure compliance with School policies on hybrid working, confidentiality and professional communication.
- Manage workload and annual leave effectively in line with business priorities.
Profile Required

- Proven track record in business development, partnerships, account management or sales.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.

- Professional, confident and results‑driven approach.
- University degree or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- Experience within higher education, executive education or professional services.
- Experience working across international or multi‑campus environments.
- Existing corporate network within London or UK markets.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
