Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Salary: £21,045.79 Per annum/pro-rata

Hours: 33.25 hours per week (Term Time Only)

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

Provide high‑quality teaching support for young people with mild, moderate, profound or severe learning and/or physical disabilities. Lead taught sessions and group activities, ensuring inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and care for young people with learning disabilities in an educational setting.
• Lead taught sessions and group activities that promote learning and development.
• Report any safeguarding concerns in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and session plans.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to achieve educational outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience supporting young people with learning disabilities, including mild to severe, and/or physical disabilities.
• Track record of achieving excellent outcomes within an educational setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and safeguarding policy compliance.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating teamwork, compassion, inclusion, innovation and pride.
