About the role

Reporting to the Electrical Testing and Compliance Project Manager, you will play a key role in supervising operatives, apprentices, and contractors delivering electrical testing, repairs, and upgrade programmes across our housing stock.

You will ensure works are delivered efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with the latest wiring regulations, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and programme deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting electrical operatives and contractors to maximise productivity and quality
  • Monitoring works through site visits, audits, and inspections, ensuring compliance and high standards
  • Managing electrical testing programmes across tenanted and void properties
  • Undertaking pre‑ and post‑inspections, producing specifications, and taking ownership of jobs through to completion
  • Working closely with planning teams to ensure effective scheduling, resource allocation, and timely delivery of works
  • Liaising with residents, contractors, and internal teams to minimise disruption and maintain excellent customer service
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and council policies
  • Managing performance, attendance, and development of team members
  • Maintaining accurate records, job updates, and audit information using digital systems

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is term‑time only. For part‑time applicants, where your working week is less than the council’s basic 37‑hour week, contracted overtime rated pay will not form part of your working hours. Your starting salary will be pro‑rated based on the basic annual salary elements of pay between £44,075 & £47,181.
