As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster carers to provide high-quality care. You will:
Be responsible for overseeing foster carer training
Oversee foster carer support groups
Complete unannounced visits to foster carers and children
Complete direct work with children and young people
Plan and co-ordinate participation events in the service
Play a vital role in communicating with carers via online platforms including padlet
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
For Service Users
- To work with children, young people and their families, on a one to one orgroup basis, using a variety of interventions, to identify needs and toachieve positive outcomes.
- To work in partnership with parents/carers to empower them and toenable them to achieve better outcomes for their children.
- To work co-operatively with childrens services, health agencies and othercommunity based services, to provide the most effective service forchildren young people and families.
- To take responsibility for the more complex cases/situations presentingwithin the service.
- To apply safeguarding and child protection procedures.

North England service cover Yorkshire, Humber and the North East of England. The successful applicant must be willing to drive across this region as part of their role.
This is a full time role required to cover Yorkshire and North East areas. We are open to consider the role being split as two part time roles.

- Ability to listen to and communicate effectively with children and young people

- Ability to accurately and clearly record case notes deploying the necessary standard of writing and IT skills.
- Ability to write reports and produce other management information
- Ability to analyse and resolve problems occurring in relation to service users and or staff supervised.

Experience
- Experience of direct work with children, young people and families.
- Experience of applying safeguarding and child protection policies and
- procedures.
