About the Role & Key Accountabilities
Reporting into the Head of Technical, the Quality Manager will play a key role in driving quality standards across the manufacturing operation while leading and developing the quality team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating the quality team to ensure high standards are consistently achieved.
- Driving a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the site.
- Ensuring compliance with customer, legal and BRCGS requirements.
- Supporting internal and external audits, including customer visits.
- Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitoring site performance against quality KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working closely with production, NPD and technical teams to maintain and improve standards across the business.
- Supporting training and development activities to improve site-wide quality awareness.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a quality leadership role in food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and BRCGS standards.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- The ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
