Salary: Competitive rate of £14.21 per hour with a £1 enhancement on weekends and bank holidays, up to £15.21 per hour.
Hours: Minimum of 21 hours per week (no 20‑hour contracts).
Role Overview
Working in brain injury rehabilitation is different to other kinds of support work. You’re there to encourage and guide individuals, helping them gain the skills and confidence to live independently. You will share the journey with inspiring people as they overcome hurdles, achieve milestones, and reach the goals they’ve set. Many people we support stay for three months before moving on, and you can make a massive difference in that time. We have full and part‑time roles on offer.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to adult residents following individual support plans.
- Develop residents’ independent living skills including personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, and socialising.
- Organise and participate in varied activities such as art, crafts, music, sports, gardening, shopping, and swimming at Kent House and in the local community.
- Encourage and guide residents towards living independently.

- Have genuine empathy for residents, with positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through rehabilitation.
- Enjoy teamwork and take pride in a job well done alongside colleagues.
- Have excellent face‑to‑face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
- Have good time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
