Health and Safety Training Assistant

Location: Leicester or Bristol (Hybrid work arrangements)

Role type: Full time / Permanent

As a Health and Safety Training Assistant, you will play a vital role in strengthening safety culture across our nuclear and engineering operations, ensuring our people operate safely, confidently and in line with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality health, safety and environmental training sessions across multiple locations.
  • Review and update training materials to align with current legislation and company standards.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external bodies such as IOSH and ECITB.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure documentation is up to date.

Essential Experience

  • Experience delivering face‑to‑face and/or virtual training sessions.
  • Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills to engage diverse audiences.
  • Effective collaboration with stakeholders across different teams and locations.
  • Structured management and updating of training materials.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) accredited Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Safety).
  • Recognised training or teaching qualification from an accredited body.
  • Minimum IOSH membership (or working towards) with active CPD.
  • Experience delivering IOSH training (such as Managing Safely) is advantageous.
  • First‑Aid Trainer or Mental Health First‑Aid England Trainer qualifications advantageous.
