SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Eastbourne

We are currently recruiting for a SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a child in KS1 in Eastbourne from September 2026.

This rewarding role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to help the child access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

Role Details

• SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
• Working within Key Stage 1
• Year group to be confirmed
• Based in Eastbourne
• September 2026 start
• Full-time position

Responsibilities

• Providing tailored 1:1 classroom support
• Supporting the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Encouraging engagement and positive learning experiences
• Assisting with classroom activities and routines

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN preferred
• Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• DBS certificate desirable or willingness to apply for one
