Agricultural Mechanic – Suffolk – £40,000 – £45,000 + Accommodation

The Role

A progressive farming business is seeking an experienced Agricultural Mechanic to support the ongoing maintenance and performance of its machinery fleet. This is a hands on position, working across a range of modern agricultural equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency across all farming operations, particularly during peak seasonal periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of agricultural machinery
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Maintain tractors, combines, cultivation equipment, and associated machinery
• Support operational activities to minimise downtime during busy periods
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Assist with workshop duties, including fabrication and general repairs where required
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers as needed
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment

The Candidate

• Proven experience in agricultural machinery maintenance or a similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of modern farm equipment, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Welding or fabrication experience would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence (additional tickets beneficial but not essential)
• Practical, reliable, and proactive approach to work

The Package

• Salary OTE £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
• 3 bedroom cottage available to rent
