Secondary PRU Behaviour Support Assistant – Ferryhill
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a specialist Secondary PRU in Ferryhill.
This position involves supporting students with behavioural, social and emotional needs, helping them engage positively with education and develop the skills needed for future success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom and pastoral support
- Deliver 1:1 support sessions
- Assist with behaviour management strategies
- Promote emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Encourage engagement with learning
- Support students’ personal and social development
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with young people desirable
- Resilient and professional approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
