An exciting opportunity has arisen within Member Services and Electoral Services for a Member Support and Electoral Services Assistant. This varied role supports elected Members in carrying out their democratic duties, providing high‑quality administrative, diary and meeting support. You’ll work closely with Councillors, senior officers and external stakeholders, help coordinate civic and community events, and provide support to Electoral Services during key election periods.

The role offers exposure to senior decision‑making, committee processes and democratic governance, making it ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience or develop a career within Member Services, Elections or wider corporate support.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative, diary and meeting support to elected Members.
- Work closely with Councillors, senior officers and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate civic and community events.
- Support Electoral Services during key election periods.
Qualifications / Key Skills
- Strong administrative skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work calmly, professionally and flexibly in a busy environment.
- Experience of working with Members or committees is desirable; full support and training will be provided.
