Overview

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking breakfast club support worker to join our caring, friendly and dedicated staff team. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise, support and guide children during our breakfast club. Previous experience is preferable but not essential; full training and induction will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support and guide children during breakfast club sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with children to ensure their well-being and maintain their safety.
  • Participate in safeguarding activities and uphold the school’s safeguarding standards.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of breakfast club activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Effective communication skills with children.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and willingness to complete enhanced DBS checks.
  • English language proficiency (spoken and written) – essential as this post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
  • Availability during term time to work 6.25 hours weekly.

Employment Details

  • Hours: 6.25 hours term time only
  • Grade: Grade B, SCP 4, £25,185 (Actual Salary, £3,714 – £3,763 per annum)
  • Location: Bearwood Primary School, Bearwood, Smethwick B66 4HA
  • Closing Date: Thursday 25th June 2026
