Our client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team supporting children and young people aged 8-17 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and learning disabilities.
About the Role
You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive home environment, helping young people thrive. Working alongside the management team, you’ll support staff, lead shifts, and contribute to high-quality care planning and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people, families, and professionals
- Support and lead staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of all young people
- Contribute to care planning, reviews, and daily activities
- Maintain accurate, compassionate records
- Act as shift leader and support team operations when required
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve)
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and professional development
