Job Overview

Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Conquest House, village of Farcet, Peterborough

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Conquest House is located in the village of Farcet, Peterborough. The home offers residential support for 15 males and females with a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also be on the autism spectrum. Set in a semi‑rural location with large country grounds, our dedicated team is passionate about helping residents lead lives that are as independent as possible, providing high‑quality support to build skills, live more independently, and reach their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
  • Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
  • Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
  • Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
  • Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
  • Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A full driving licence and the ability to drive are essential for this role.
  • A caring and respectful approach to supporting others.
  • Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in care or support work (desirable, but not essential – training provided).
