Position Overview
Marine Project Engineer – Reactive Works team based in Dawlish.
- Support the delivery and management of reactive civil and marine engineering projects.
- Coordinate project information between office and site teams.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Assist in resolving technical and design issues during project delivery.
- Produce sketches, drawings and engineering calculations where required.
- Support planning, sequencing and procurement activities.
- Attend site to carry out surveys, inspections and progress reviews.
- Assist with setting out, quality checks and verification of completed works.
- Support preparation of project documentation, RAMS and progress reports.
- Monitor project costs, resource usage and project risks.
- Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance.
Position Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or marine construction.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Commercial awareness and problem‑solving ability.
- Proactive and team‑focused approach.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Desirable: experience working on marine or coastal engineering projects.
- Desirable: knowledge of reactive or maintenance‑based project delivery.
- Desirable: working towards ICE Chartership or equivalent professional accreditation.
