Overview

Are you an experienced Payroll Assistant, looking for an opportunity on a fixed term basis for 12 months working within a hybrid model?

At Rexel we are excited to cover a period of maternity within our payroll team. As a Payroll Assistant, you will administer all payroll activities, ensuring completion is on time and accurate while maintaining compliance with internal and statutory requirements.

This role supports a payroll of just over 1900 employees and one monthly payroll, offering a great opportunity to add value and have impact from day one. The role is hybrid: two days per week in our Eagle Court office with free onsite parking, the rest of the week remote.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
  • Support business functions and teams with pay‑related queries through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Experience within the full payroll lifecycle; end‑to‑end experience.
  • Knowledge of statutory deadlines and relevant regulations.
  • Previous experience maintaining compliance with all statutory regulations relevant to payroll.
  • Maintaining strong partnerships with all stakeholders to provide quality, efficient and customer‑focused payroll services.
  • High customer focus with a solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working to deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional accuracy and diligence.
