Primary Responsibilities
- Data Processing: Accurately inputting payroll data for starters, leavers, salary changes, and allowances.
- Timesheet Management: Receiving, verifying, and calculating timesheets and gross pay.
- Payment Calculations: Calculating statutory and occupational payments (maternity, paternity, sickness) and inputting third‑party deductions.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining organized paper and electronic files in compliance with HMRC guidelines and Data Protection laws.
Requirements & Skills
- Key Skills: High‑speed keyboard data entry, strong diligence, and excellent IT proficiency.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, as well as payroll and pension software modules.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Auto‑Enrolment legislation, HMRC rules, and data protection.
- Soft Skills: Strong customer care abilities for responding to internal staff pay queries politely and confidentially.
