SEN Teaching Assistant – West Sussex – Education – Psychology – Therapy – Special Needs LSA – SEN – Teaching Assistant – 93-105 per day
Are you passionate about championing children with additional needs, such as Autism, and Speech, Language & Communication needs?
This specialist school based in Chichester is looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children aged 4-17 with mild to severe learning difficulties.
This role offers opportunities to work closely with Therapists and Counsellors and to gain relevant experience in a challenging yet rewarding setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
- Behaviour and pastoral support
- Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
- Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
- Able to commute to Chichester
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
- Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriate
Working arrangements
Start date ASAP. Mon–Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, term time only. On-site training, support and CPD are provided to ensure safeguarding of all students.
