As a Business Assistant in Trading, you will support a large team, including Managing Directors, by managing complex diaries, coordinating travel, and facilitating client interactions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of business operations within a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

  • Manage complex executive diaries, coordinating meetings, board engagements, conference calls, off‑sites, town halls and other senior stakeholder events.
  • Arrange domestic and international travel, prepare detailed itineraries and oversee expense submissions in line with company policies and controls.
  • Act as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, supporting client interactions, departmental activities and senior leadership requirements.
  • Partner with Business Management and cross‑functional teams to deliver administrative support, reporting, management information and operational activities.
  • Maintain business processes including distribution lists, system administration, data management and other day‑to‑day team requirements.
  • Anticipate changing priorities, provide support across the wider assistant network, and contribute to projects, training initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

What you bring

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives within an investment banking, financial services or corporate environment.
  • Advanced diary, stakeholder and travel management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism, discretion and confidence when engaging with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong technical proficiency across Microsoft Office and business systems, with experience producing reports, presentations and management information.
  • Proactive, highly organised and detail‑oriented, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver consistently high‑quality work.
  • Strong understanding of investment banking culture, governance and policies, with a collaborative approach and the confidence to challenge where appropriate.
