Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
- Design and development of projects for network reconfiguration to enable demand and generation growth and any upgrade or replacement of existing assets.
- Undertaking power system studies to understand the implications of network additions and any network reconfiguration.
- Design and investment justification for the provision of electricity distribution system works of any complexity at all distribution voltages.
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements for specific projects.
- Working with other business units to develop new solutions to meet our customers’ needs.
- An understanding of electricity distribution networks
- Ability to deliver quality through others
- Communication – able to communicate with a wide range of people in an effective and persuasive manner
- Customer Service – able to deliver effective customer service both internally and externally
- Team working – able to work effectively with others across a wide variety of teams
- IT Skills – able to use a variety of analytical software
Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Degree (or HNC with experience) in STEM related subject
- Knowledge of electricity distribution networks
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status
- A proven ability to manage engineering project teams
- Data analysis skills
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks
